FARM RULES AND POLICY
Our priority is the safety and well-being of horses and horse enthusiasts. Please familiarize yourself with these rules to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
General Rules
 • Respect: Treat staff, boarders, guests, and their property with courtesy and respect.
 • Safety First: Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately to the Barn Manager.
 • Liability: All visitors must sign a Release of Liability form before entering the property (ask Barn Manager for forms).
 • No Smoking/Alcohol: Prohibited on the premises.
Safety
 • Helmets: ASTM/SEI approved helmets are mandatory for all riders under 18, and strongly recommended for everyone.
 • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes with a heel are required when handling horses or in riding areas.
 • Children: Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. No actions that could startle horses, such as running, yelling, or fence climbing.
 • Riding Alone: For your safety, we strongly discourage riding alone. Please use the provided sign-in/sign-out board at the barn entrance.
Riding Rules
 • Lesson Priority: Instructors have authority during lessons. Please practice safe horsemanship and set a good example for students.
 • Arena Etiquette: Enter the arena cautiously, announcing your presence. Follow basic right-of-way rules (ask the Barn Manager if unsure).
 • Outside Trainers: All outside trainers must provide proof of insurance and be approved by the Barn Manager before giving lessons.
Boarding Rules
 • Feeding: Horses are fed on schedule. Any changes to your horse's feed must be discussed with the Barn Manager.
 • Supplements: We're happy to administer owner-provided supplements as instructed on the stall card. Owners are responsible for supplying and replenishing supplements.
 • Grain: We can feed owner-supplied grain. Please arrange delivery and clearly label your grain containers.
 • Vet/Farrier: Owners are responsible for scheduling and payment. If you need assistance holding your horse, please notify the Barn Manager in advance.
 • Vaccinations & Paperwork: Horses must have a current negative Coggins test and rabies vaccination on file with the Barn Manager.
Additional Policies
 • Trailer Parking: For parking trailer and alternative arrangements, please contact the Barn Manager.
 • Incident Reporting: Report all incidents, even minor ones, to the Barn Manager. Incident report forms are available in the office.
 • Property Damage: Clients are financially responsible for any damage they or their horse cause to the facility beyond normal wear and tear.
 • Communication: Open communication is important! Please address any questions or concerns directly with the Barn Manager.
Emergency Procedures
 • Fire: Evacuation plans and extinguisher locations are posted in the barn.
 • Medical Emergencies: First aid kits are in the office and tack room. Call 911 immediately for serious injuries.
 • Loose Horse: Remain calm. If safe, try to secure the horse. Otherwise, notify staff immediately. Do not chase.
